Exploring the philosophical concept of “qualia”—the raw, deeply personal nature of subjective sensory experiences, such as the exact shade of a color or the texture of a feeling—the installation acts as a living canvas that responds dynamically to human presence. Audiences step inside a reactive environment where full-body interaction triggers stunning visual transformations, shifting between vibrant color fields, fluid animations, and abstract dream environments. An immersive, interactive 360º multimedia installation created in collaboration with Laia Cabrera and Isabelle Duverger (Laia Cabrera & Co.). Exploring the surreal nature of lucid dreaming and the search for awareness, the piece takes the audience on a sensory voyage where the boundaries between the physical and digital worlds blur. Using full gesture-responsive motion tracking, visitors actively navigate shifting dreamscapes of forests, cosmos, and surreal pathways. The original cinematic musical score utilizes rich textures, pulses, and deep rhythms to guide the audience through the space, directly interacting with and shifting alongside their physical movements.

Illusion

 

An award-nominated immersive interactive experience about the art of seeing and experiencing, created by filmmakers and visual artists Laia Cabrera and Isabelle Duverger (Laia Cabrera & Co.) in collaboration with interactivity designer Aniol Saurina Masó. Set inside an infinity mirrored room that completely breaks the rules of gravity, the piece acts as a playful mirage that blurs the lines between the physical and digital worlds. Visitors are invited to step into an illusion of infinite space, interacting directly with projection mapping, augmented reality, and animation as they “play” with fire, water, and energy, or break down walls to unleash sea waves and forests. The original cinematic musical composition and sound design utilize immersive, spatial textures to accent this sensory journey, moving in perfect harmony with the visuals to evoke a deep, subjective reflection on time and space.
